Building on the introduction to contract law given in Obligations and Contract Law I this course explores why and how contracts and contract law are regulatory in national and transnational contexts.
The course is organized in two parts and is preceded by a general introduction on theme of contract law in the context of regulation. Part I concerns global value chains and its links to contract law and commercial law as well as consumer law and tort law. Part II is on transnational labour markets and explores the relationship with individual employment contracts and collective labour agreements.
